The future is digital: decentralised technologies and asset management

From artificial intelligence to distributed ledger  technologies (DLT), the future of asset management looks increasingly digital. The conference is the occasion to present the Assogestioni White Paper 'Beyond cryptocurrencies - distributed ledger technologies at the service of asset management'  The paper is the result of two working groups set up by the Association's Digital Finance Committee (ComDigit) and aims to analyse the potential impact of the introduction of distributed ledger technology on the issuance, registration and digital circulation of UCITS units or shares, on the one hand, and on UCITS investments in digital assets, on the other. The presentation, which is attended by representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Italy and Consob, offers an opportunity for experts and industry representatives to discuss ongoing regulatory developments in the realm of digital finance, of which the Sandbox, the EU regulation for Dlt and the implementing decree law for the Dlt Pilot regime, represent some of the most recent innovations.
