Europe aims to become the world's first zero-emission and climate-neutral economy by 2050. An ambitious goal that calls for a long-term strategy and the intense and coordinated commitment of policy makers, institutions, industry and citizens. At this conference, organised by Assogestioni, the core focus is dedicated to the transformative endeavours underway to achieve the Net Zero targets and the challenges raised by the green transition. The keynote speech is delivered by Mario Nava, former Consob chairman and now Director General of the European Commission's DG for Structural Reforms, who presents the EU's vision to promote a zero-emission economy, the initiatives underway to achieve the Paris Agreement targets on climate change, and the efforts to coordinate Net Zero strategies in the European Union. Afterwards, institutional and industry representatives and investors discuss the challenges and difficulties of driving the transformation, and the impact on asset management, which is now at the forefront in shaping the financial future of the EU.
