It's not just a staging: women's leadership among theatre, history and reality

The topic of women's leadership is at the centre of the Diversity & Inclusion conference organised by Assogestioni's Diversity Committee, which features a collaboration with the theatre duo DilaliaDuett. The duo, composed of Maddalena Recino and Ursula Volkmann, stages a short play based on the book 'Leadership strategies for women' by Paul Vanderbroeck, a historian turned coach for women leaders. The actresses on stage perform a short comparison of historical and contemporary women leaders - Cleopatra, Isabella of Spain, Elizabeth I and Catherine of Russia - in a fictional conversation, to draw a parallel between the challenges of today and those of the past related to women's leadership and to describe how authentic self-expression must be a key element in achieving one's aspirations. The performance, specially conceived for the Salone del Risparmio, is intended to provide food for thought and prepare the ground for the subsequent round table discussion on women's leadership in the asset management industry, in which insiders discuss the industry's commitments to diversity, achievements and the road ahead.
